This week the
Sketchbook Project from Brooklyn, New York is coming to Vancouver for the very first time. It's a perfect opportunity to see some amazing art made by thousands of creative people from all around the world, who come from all walks of life and every skill set, much like the Papergirl project.
This travelling library will be setting up shop at
W2 Media Cafe, located at 111 W. Hastings Street, Vancouver on Tuesday, May 15th & Wednesday, May 16th from 3-7pm and is
FREE! If you're planning to attend, you may
RSVP here.
When you visit the Sketchbook tour, you will be issued a library card, which you will use to "check out" the books. (Please note that none of the sketchbooks actually leave the building.) This tracking system allows organizers to then email the book's creator, to let them know their books has been viewed in Vancouver.
Want a sneak peek of what one completed Sketchbook actually looks like? Lelainia Lloyd, who is a member of our Papergirl team shot
this short video flipping through her contribution for the 2012 tour.
So what are you waiting for? GO! Be inspired and then MAKE ART! & then send it to Papergirl!
